Ariadne insists the day-to-day operation of the yacht always remains the responsibility of the Captain and Chief Engineer. We adjust and adapt our management systems around their procedure onboard and are firm believers in helping - not hindering the operation.

It is our job to make sure the system is as uncomplicated and as pleasurable to use as possible.

Our ISM and ISPS systems are Lloyds Register approved, designed to be as simple and straight forward as possible, seamlessly making the yacht a safe place for crew and owners to enjoy, yet still satisfying legal requirements.

Providing:

• Designated person ashore and company security officer
• Emergency shore-based response team
• Full implementation and maintenance of the systems

We know each yacht is very different and has its own way of operating. Ariadne goes onboard personally, building each system to suit individual requirements, keeping any extra crew workload to an absolute minimum.

Our main aim is to keep things onboard simplistic. We are primarily here to support and help the Owner/Captain when needed, not to make their lives more complicated.

The Mini ISM

Recommended for vessels under 500 GT, our bespoke system is suited to all quality yachts. It is operationally very simple, enhancing safety onboard and the protection of the environment.

Ariadne Yacht Management can implement these basic procedures in the most undemanding way possible. We are more than happy to also provide the ancillary requirements such as constant shore support and emergency response.

We can also assist with any other problems or challenges that you also may encounter along the way - such as crew contracts, general certification issues, financials, registration and classification society requirements.

Refit and Maintenance

Ariadne works closely with the Captain, Chief Engineer and the yards representatives - insisting upon being the Owner’s eyes and ears with the simple intention of maintaining the projects quality assurance aspect, it’s completed on time and within budget.

Although not that obvious to most, meticulous planning of a yacht’s maintenance is an investment providing future dividends.

We have devised a system that integrates into our management structure. It takes account of regular maintenance work, the majority of which can be strategically undertaken at an appropriate time (to the owners requirements), allowing us more time to negotiate the price and decide where to go etc.

All in all - long term it maintains the value of the yacht and substantially reduces problems during the owners season.

Insurance

Ariadne tenders policies with various Underwriters in order to obtain the finest insurance cover for your yacht.

Based on our independent knowledge of insurance companies. Ariadne will obtain attractive terms for our Owners and Captains.

Yacht Registration

We partner with financial specialists and lawyers who advise the best solution for your yacht, considering issues such as cruising area, VAT and which flag, etc.

Our maritime lawyers will assist you in the incorporation of ownership. Look at your personal needs and objectives. Offer you sensible advice on the benefits and advantages of a particular country compared to another.

Crew Management

A skilled and well-motivated crew is paramount for your yacht. Crewing costs are usually the highest single item of annual expense onboard in any given year.

Ariadne spends much time on the choice of candidates for your yacht. Utilising our experience and associates we find the right people for the job.

Yacht Construction and Design

Ariadne is actively involved in building and refitting some of the world's most beautiful yachts. Thanks to this experience we are confidently able to offer our services in projects of all sizes with shipyards worldwide.

From the outset of a venture, finding a suitable shipyard and the negotiation of contracts, subsequently supervising the different construction segments leading to your yacht’s launching and delivery.We will always be at your disposal as competent and experienced support.

Naval Architecture and Concept Ariadne

Our first purpose built company steamship was ‘The Mountaineer’ in 1866 which cost the princely sum of $51,000.

Today, we carry on the heritage of custom designing yachts to an owner’s specification, including the interior and exterior styling, special safety features and the design of the engineering systems.
We have all the skills necessary to produce a turnkey solution for any project.

Mr. Domenic Tasker is a budding, young and enthusiastic undergraduate of Naval Architecture in his final year of a master’s degree at Strathclyde and Glasgow University.

Coming from a family of architects, artists and engineers he always has had strong influences of art and design in his life as well as using his own fine technical ability.

Domenic’s philosophy on yacht design is to create a minimalist, elegant and clean design.
