Why Ariadne?

Ancient mythology says that Ariadne (Pronounced ‘arry -add - nee’) gave her lover Theseus a ball of red thread, so that he could safely find his way out of a complicated labyrinth. Should you wish to read Ariadnes story in full, please click here .

It is from this great tale that Ariadne Yacht Management Ltd. is named…. only today Ariadne successfully guides Owners and Captains through the ever complicating labyrinth of Yacht Management and ISM, simply and effectively.

Other Reasons

The name Ariadne has been proudly used by the British Royal Navy for over 100 years and the modern Ariadnes built intertwined with another well known yachting name.

To date there have been 8 battle/warships named HMS Ariadne. The most recent HMS Ariadne’s were built in Scotland on the Clyde, which we like to associate with considering the ship yards concerned are a stone’s throw from our Glasgow Office.
